RACE DETAILS
Brewster Academy is proud to host the third annual Winni Chase! This regatta is an early-season competition and a great opportunity to practice BIG S turns in plenty of time for the Charles. RACE COURSE DESCRIPTION
The race course starts in front of Worcester Island, outside Wolfeboro Bay, Southeast of Brewster Academy’s Pinckney Boathouse. The race begins facing east, passing Fisherman’s Cove and Springfield Point. After 750 meters, the course takes an approximately 90-degree turn to starboard, followed shortly by a wide 180-degree turn to port. The middle of the race course is a straight shot before the final turn. After 1500 meters, there is another 90-degree turn to port. At this point the course proceeds to follow along the shoreline in a very wide starboard turn to the finish by Brewster Beach. Athletes then have a brief cool down as they return to the Brewster Academy docks.
